@  EthansDad : (20 May 2013 - 01:32 PM) not really to be honest as that is likely to be the bulk of the fat content gone.  There is a recipe for chocolate muffins in the recepie section which works great
@  annamay : (18 May 2013 - 02:07 PM) Hi everyone, just one week into the modified atkins diet and trying to bake cakes as it is my daughters birthday soon. I've attempted one chocolate cake recipe containing calogen and ketocal but it wasn't great, can I omit these ingredients? Would the cake still be okay? Sorry if silly question, trying to get my head round it all. Sue
@  honza.410 : (17 May 2013 - 10:11 PM) Hi everyone
I'm littel bit confused. Our diet nurse gave to Anna diferent ratios for breakfast (3.13) lunch + tea (2.5) and snack (4.0). Have someone experience with this?
@  Sukie : (15 May 2013 - 11:23 AM) swede stands in well for potatoes - try also roast swede or as chips
@  EthansDad : (13 May 2013 - 09:04 AM) swede, celeriac and carrot with butter and a little oil works well... throw in some garlic pepper if you want to...
@  annamay : (12 May 2013 - 01:53 PM) Sorry should have said has anyone any great alternative recipes for mash on the MAD diet? May been on the diet for 3 days now and we are on a 10g carb plan for each meal- Many thanks :)))
@  annamay : (12 May 2013 - 01:51 PM) MASH
@  EthansDad : (03 May 2013 - 07:31 AM) how about 'potato salad'  we made this from mayonaise, celeriac and spring onions (can get a little oil in also)
@  Diana Holdsw... : (28 April 2013 - 06:08 PM) Hi guys after years and years we finally got told our son has got the GLUT1 defect and we are doing the MAD Diet. I have a huge problem with the school at the moment as, as you all know, most his foods are made with almond flour, ground nuts, coconuts etc. My sons school is Nut Free though and with lunch and two snacks to provide to be eaten in school I really run out of ideas what to pack for him thats Nut Free and have some variety  aswell cause he gets sick and tired of meats, cheese and little home made joghurts.
@  greencat : (19 April 2013 - 11:04 AM) Ok there is a sugar free suspsion! :)
@  greencat : (19 April 2013 - 09:29 AM) Hi Anybody using a sugar free phenytoin suspension or opening the capsules and diluting in water for tube?
@  carol-anne : (09 April 2013 - 08:54 PM) Hi Emma, I just saw the book on the home page looks good, would this help me answer questions to the CDKL5 families?  we often get questions about Keto.  Maybe I need to go on a refresher course ;)
@  Sukie : (02 April 2013 - 09:35 PM) One other thing - she's just got DLA mobility at the higher rate due to epilepsy
@  Sukie : (02 April 2013 - 09:34 PM) PS Happy Birthday Emma!
@  Sukie : (02 April 2013 - 09:33 PM) I have just written a 20 page letter of complaint to my Council about how they have handled Transition with regard to Education, Social Care and the S139 A assessment
